Programming Intern

June - August 2017 • Chicago, IL

What I liked

This internship was unique in that the staff made sure all of the interns had a chance to learn from both them and the wealth of diverse entreprenuers working out of the co-working space. There were fireside chats, workshops, events, and dozens of other opportunities to learn and network.

What I wish was different

I wish it could have lasted forever!

Advice

Don't turn your nose up at boring work. It may seem boring to you, but it is likely vital to the operations of the business, and as the lowest person on the totem pole, you kind of just have to do all the work no one else wants to do. But that's also how you show your loyalty and work ethic! Good managers will notice this hard work and make sure to give you new opportunities when they come up.
