💵 Salary (Effective 7/1/25): $55,032 - $74,736 per year

The Illinois Department of Human Services is seeking a motivated, compassionate Social Services Career Trainee to join our dedicated team in Elgin, IL. This is your opportunity to receive comprehensive on-the-job training in public assistance programs that uplift individuals and families in need.

💼 What You’ll Do:
• Receive hands-on training in managing public assistance cases (TANF, SNAP, Medical Assistance, etc.)
• Help clients navigate welfare programs, child support, and work incentives
• Evaluate client needs and refer them to the right services
• Gain real-world experience in case management, eligibility determination, and records updates

📚 What We’re Looking For:
• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in social science or related fields)
• Passion for social services and making a difference
• Strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills
