Carnegie Hall - Internship (Lawrence-Funded Internship)

Department: Weill Music Institute

Reports to: Assistant Director, Learning & Engagement Programs

 

The Weill Music Institute, Carnegie Hall’s education and social impact department, seeks a part-time intern from June-August 2024. The intern will work with dedicated staff from the Learning & Engagement team to assist on the pre-production and execution of events related to Summer Music Educators Workshop; and assess past programmatic components and conduct research for future projects related to Musical Explorers, Link Up, PlayUSA, and Music Educators Workshop.

  • Administrative and production responsibilities include but are not limited to: Data entry and analysis; Conducting general program research and assessment; assisting with production needs of in-person or hybrid events; organizing data and program information of partner organizations; performing daily administrative tasks; other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

Intern must be detail-oriented, confident, self-motivated, a collaborative team member and have a proven ability to multitask and strong organizational skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and database management are required. Previous experience in arts administration and knowledge of music are strongly preferred. Interest in music education is a plus. Flexible scheduling is available for up to 20 hours per work week. Some weekends and evenings may be required. This internship will take place in-person at Carnegie Hall. Start and end dates are flexible.
 

Compensation:
