Salary Range: $87,925- $100,483.50

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Administration: Manage and administer the Planning Services Division, including staff supervision, work program implementation, coordination with various boards, land use and development review, grant administration, and budget development and monitoring, aligning with the City's Strategic Plan.
- Project Manager: Serve as the City's project manager for land use and community planning, consulting and negotiating with various stakeholders, providing ordinance expertise, and coordinating support for special projects and interdepartmental teams.
- Plan Creation and Implementation: Develop planning and policy recommendations, oversee program operations, and direct staff in maintaining comprehensive, neighborhood, housing, preservation, redevelopment, and urban design plans, ensuring alignment with current land use and zoning laws.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban Studies or other related studies and programs. Master’s degree in such fields preferred
- Minimum of five years of experience performing responsible and varied professional community development planning work, two years of which was in a supervisory capacity.
- Strong understanding of municipal planning processes, zoning regulations, and development codes.
- Excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills.
- AICP (American Institute of Certified Planners) certification is preferred.
