Human Resources Internship

The Human Resources Internship with Badger Liquor will provide the opportunity to put your knowledge from school to work.  Gain experience by assisting with tasks pertaining to various Human Resources entry-level functions such as recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, data entry and additional projects as requested.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

  • Support HR team with administrative support in the following areas: benefits, training, employee relations, recruiting, and wellness
  • Prepare and organize new hire paperwork, benefit packets, 401K information and additional paperwork as needed
  • Work with Talent Specialists to help with the talent acquisition process, to include processing applications, coordinating interviews and preparing for weekly onboarding. Assist with processing and submitting timecards for temporary employees on a weekly basis.
  • Gather various analytics to measure progress of different HR initiatives. Update metrics as requested.
  • Support work on preparation for Annual Employee Meetings.
  • Attend and participate in company Wellness and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion team meetings
  • Build and maintain professional rapport with employees, management and external sources (customers, vendors, providers, etc.)
  • Conduct new hire surveys and exit interview surveys
  • Perform daily administrative functions in company’s HRIS such as updating employee personal information, verifying employee’s benefit selections, referencing timecards, reviewing PTO balances, etc.
  • Assist with writing, revising and reviewing work instructions, policies, process and procedure documentation
  • Maintain and organize personnel files, records and benefit folders
  • Assist with employee relations responsibilities including anniversary program, baby gifts, employee recognition program, ordering flowers, etc.
  • Assist with org chart changes and updates that need to be made
  • Complete various clerical duties such as companywide mailings, making photocopies, scanning documents and other clerical functions as requested

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or related field and have completed sophomore year of school before internship begins
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
