KP Digital Bachelors Intern

Location:

This internship role is scheduled to be flexible. Please be prepared to spend part of your time working remotely and part of your time working at the following address: 4460 Hacienda Drive, Pleasanton, CA 94588

 

Department Description:  KP Digital is one of the key departments of Kaiser Permanente IT Function. All the major consumer and customer channel web and mobile experiences for consumers to digital access, engage and interact with KP payers and providers are powered by KP Digital viz, Shopping , enrollment, appointments, Pharmacy, benefits, payments etc. 

 

Target Majors: Computer Science, Information Technology

 

Target Skills:  Familiar with web technologies viz. Javascript, HTML5, CSS3 and familiar with Web frameworks like Angular or React. Well versed with application programming interfaces - API using either JAVA or Node.js. Strong communication skills, willingness to learn and team playing skills are key for this position.

 

Job Summary: This internhsip will be focused on creating web experiences for KP Digital web properties with respect to Digital Presence and transactional member experiences. The intern will play an active role in web development and integrating with the back end system of records using APIs.

  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
  • Pursuing a bachelors degree or have graduated with a Bachelors degree from an accredited university within the last year.

License, Certification, Registration

Additional Requirements:

  • Aptitude to perform data and process analytics and formulating solutions
  • Proven ability to build effective working relationships as well as strong interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3.0 GPA or above
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to build effective working relationships as well as strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and experience producing high quality work in short periods of time.
