The Operations Strategic Capabilities Unit plays a fundamental role in enabling efficient business and program execution – from technologies and investments to supply chain, manufacturing and test operations, facilities management, and information technology services.

 

The Integrated Supply Chain team has a direct impact on program success, acting as a critical chain that links the end-to-end material flow together and ensures compliance. Our organization serves as the backbone of business operations enabling Ball Aerospace to achieve true mission partnership.

 

The Ball Aerospace Internship Program is a 10-week summer program that provides interns with practical experience working on relevant projects while working with designated mentors; access to state-of-the-art equipment; a competitive wage; relocation reimbursement; in-house training; group activities; possible future employment and the ability to participate in the Ball Aerospace Remote Sensing Team (BIRST) program to build and launch a rocket or high-altitude balloon. At the conclusion of your internship, you will be required to prepare and deliver a formal presentation of your project work to your respective department.

 

 Intern – ISC Specialist – Learning & Communications

The Intern Integrated Supply Chain Specialist – Learning & Communications will work closely with Supply Chain employees, MarCom and other business units to help drive the organization’s learning strategy and enhance the cadence and quality of communication output across the organization. The Intern ISC Specialist will assist in the administration of daily operations and content of the Integrated Supply Chain learning and communications strategy as well as other eLearning assets.

 

With manager oversight, the successful candidate will be responsible for the creation, development, publication, and delivery of Integrated Supply Chain educational content and materials. Assist in conducting learning and communications needs assessments to ensure internal needs are met. Utilize project management skills to ensure projects are completed according to scope and on time.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Produce promotional messaging and other educational content in support of Integrated Supply Chain.
  • Plan, create and edit content, and disseminate information to employees to promote the value proposition of Integrated Supply Chain.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy of information and audit existing training materials.
  • Manage the ISC Community of Interest, New Hire Onboarding Program and other learning and communication tools.
  • Assist in the logistics of Learning modules, curriculum and events, including attendance rosters and training program scheduling, deployment and administration.
  • Utilize SharePoint and Microsoft Teams as well as Success Factors LMS.
  • Represent ISC at various levels on cross-functional teams to drive business success, cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers, and stakeholders.
  • Responsible for assisting with various ISC Business Operations including creation, maintenance and distribution of reports, and the development of learning documentation and related project plans.
  • Assist with post-training evaluation procedures.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

 

What You’ll Need:

  • Must have completed your sophomore or junior year and be enrolled in a degree program for the fall of 2024. We will also accept students enrolled in a graduate degree program.
  • Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office applications proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Sense of urgency with detail orientation.
  • Creative thinking and adept at working multiple projects.
  • Comfortable with change as priorities evolve.
  • Excellent communicator, both at the executive level and with peers and cross functional teams.
  • Experience with SharePoint and Microsoft Teams and knowledge of their capabilities preferred.
  • Knowledge of Articulate eLearning tool, content development and adult learning principles preferred.
  • Willingness to learn a variety of technologies to enhance learning, i.e., SnagIt, Vyond, etc.

 

On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site three or more days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • HIRING SALARY RANGE: $17.00 - $22.85 per hour (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
