Communication Specialist - .5 FTE
 
The City of Appleton is accepting applications for a half-time (.5 FTE) Communication Specialist at the Police department. This is a responsible front line service position, which involves moderately complex work methods and problems. Work involves performing a wide variety of administrative, customer service, building security and clerical functions which require the application of sound judgment and self-initiative in the interpretation of policies. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Administrative Support Supervisor. Regular punctual and predictable attendance required. This position will typically work 10 AM – 6 PM. Flexibility is required to work between the hours of 6 AM – 10 PM.
 
Qualifications
This position requires considerable related experience, graduation from high school, plus additional training of one to two years of college, business or technical school; or a combination of applicable experience and training. 
 
Salary
The hiring salary range for this position is $19.79 - $24.74 hourly, plus an excellent fringe benefit package.
