Child Care Teacher - Appleton YMCA (Federal Work Study)

Job Description
The Appleton YMCA is seeking creative and fun individuals to join our team as teachers in our Early Learning Center! Play & Learn is a licensed, part-time childcare program where children can stay at the Y for up to 5 hours per day. Teachers will interact frequently, affectionately and respectfully with children and their families. Respect and observe children's interests. Enhance children's learning experience through play, language and interactive activities. Use positive procedures when guiding children's behavior. Be attentive, flexible and supportive of children and families. Assist
ant and Lead teaching positions available.

Multiple Part-Time hours ranging from 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM are available.

Job Requirements
Must be 18 years of age, and have completed high school or its equivalency as determined by the DPI.

Entry-Level Assistant Positions:
Willing to obtain early childhood coursework/credentials. Staff have the ability to complete early childhood workbooks for qualifications through the Y. All applicants are encouraged to apply.

Lead Teacher Positions:
Must have minimum of Introduction to the Child Care Profession and Skills and Strategies for the Childcare teacher or equivalent. Teachers working in an infant room must have Fundamentals of Infant and Toddler Care or its equivalent within 6 months of hire. Prefer associates degree in Early Childhood education, however not required. Experience of 1-2 years working with children.
