Job Responsibilities
1. In collaboration with a licensed Physician, serves as an APN providing medical care to assigned individuals.
2. Makes regular rounds evaluating an individual's medical progress.
3. Provides emergency care when nursing staff identify an acute medical/psychiatric need and request an individual be seen immediately. Provides coverage for physicians. Identifies and recommends appropriate pharmacologic and non pharmacologic interventions.
4. Serves as an active and contributing member on assigned committees, staff meetings, teaching conferences, and clinical committees.
5. Performs other duties as assigned or required which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Requires current licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse in the State of Illinois.
Conditions of Employment
1. Requires the ability to meet all agency vaccine/health-related policies and guidance.
2. Requires ability to pass the IDHS background check.
3. Requires ability to pass a drug screen for drugs prohibited from recreational use under Illinois Law.
