Program Operations Intern - STRYV365 Inc. (SEJ)

About STRYV365 Inc.
STRYV365 is a non-profit organization providing trauma informed training and programming for youth throughout the Greater Milwaukee Area. The program and our peak team curriculum, are partnered with local schools, corporations, community members, and organizations. Our goal is to foster a commitment to young people that promotes positive relationships, builds interpersonal skills, and offers hope, which creates resilience while dealing with the effects of childhood trauma. We believe that collaboration and a commitment from stakeholders provides a formula for success (visibility + accessibility = opportunity) while also building a platform for youth to navigate through challenges and adversity.

To equip youth with a resilient mindset through trauma-informed programming in education, athletics and activities.

Currently enrolled with a focus on public health, psychology, social work, K-12 education, social justice or related field
Organizational and time management skills
Highly communicative and has strong verbal and written communication skills
Maintains a collaborative mindset and works well with others
Responsibilities may include one or more of the following areas, depending on candidate interest and skill set:
1) Social Media/Marketing
a. Create content for social media
b. Develop and manage social media content by actively scheduling posts and garnering followers/viewers
c. Manage content for the STRYV365 website
d. Assist in planning and recruitment for fundraising events or other campaigns

2) Curriculum Development
a. Consult with Program Manager staff to develop activities that align with our proprietary behavioral change process curriculum, as well as our relationship and communication curriculum.
b. Attend and participate with onsite programs and professional development with our external partners.
3) Research
a. Use critical thinking and writing skills to research subject matters and present findings to Directors for inclusion into professional development sessions with our partner sites. Topic areas may include: Resiliency, Social-emotional learning, poverty, issues in juvenile justice, predictors of academic success, gun violence, positive childhood experiences, children’s mental health, racism, s mental health, racism,
Makes an effort to understand programming and curriculum
Support the development of new and innovative marketing materials
Develop, write and edit materials including proposals, website and social media postings, blogs, email, and newsletters
Assist in planning and coordinating company events including workshops, meetings, and special events
Support administrative tasks
Schedule:
15-20 hours/week
Day shift
Monday – Friday

This internship is part of the Lawrence University Social & Environmental Justice Cohort, which provides an opportunity for Lawrentians to explore social and environmental justice impact careers, gain professional experience, and develop as leaders. Students complete a full-time summer 2022 internship with an identified social and/or environmental justice impact organization in Milwaukee or Appleton, while participating in ongoing reflection with fellow students, Professor Jason Brozek, the Career Center, community leaders and alumni.  For more details and to apply, please click here.
