Long-Term Substitute - 4th Grade Virtual

The School District of New Berlin is seeking an outstanding, engaging and innovative long-term substitute educator for a 4th grade virtual position to joins its school community. This position begins on January 25 and the end date is to TBD. Must have or have the ability to obtain a Wisconsin DPI license in 4th grade or a short term substitute license with 4th grade experience. The individual would be an employee of EDUStaff.

Candidate must demonstrate consistent proficiency in components assigned under:

Domain 1: Planning and Preparation

Domain 2: Classroom Environment

Domain 3: Instruction

Domain 4: Professional Responsibilities

Including, but not limited to: 

•Teach a virtual group of students using multiple technology tools.

•Develop lesson plans and instructional materials to provide individualized and small group instruction by adapting the district-approved curriculum to the needs of each pupil while maintaining high expectations

•Establish and maintain rapport with pupils to ensure an effective learning atmosphere

•Provide specific timely feedback to students 

•Communicate expectations clearly to students and parents

•Effectively communicate with parents in various ways (i.e. website, newsletters, phone calls, e-mails, conferences)

•Work in a supportive and collaborative manner with colleagues 

•To be a part of a collaborative team to analyze and respond to data
