The Department of Natural Resources is hiring a Wastewater Specialist-Senior position in the Division of Environmental Management. This position will be stationed in the DNR Headquarters located at 101 S. Webster Street in the heart of downtown Madison, near the state capitol, the Madison Metro bus route and the Capital City bike path. Position Summary:  
This position will be responsible for administration of wastewater general permits which includes reviewing permit applications, correspondence with applicants and development and issuance of general permit coverage. This position is also tasked with land spreading site review and approval to ensure consistency with legal requirements and programmatic approval processes. Upon full performance, the incumbent will also be involved in policy development in the areas of general permit administration and land spreading site reviews and approvals.

Qualifications:  Minimally qualified candidates will have:
• Experience with GIS
• Experience with the development of technical procedures and/or protocols

Well-qualified candidates will have:
• Regulatory experience
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in natural resources, physical sciences or similar
