Development Technician - Community Development Department

The City of Peoria Community Development Department is looking to fill the Development Technician position immediately. The Development Technician will provide customer service to diverse groups of developers, contractors, and the general public, and assist staff with the Commission process. The entry level position is ideal for a candidate looking to get exposure to local government and, more specifically, the functions of the Community Development Department. An ideal candidate would have strong customer service skills, experience working with a diverse workforce, the ability to function in a fast-paced environment, and represent the City of Peoria to the general public in a professional manner.  The City of Peoria Community Development Department was recently recognized by the International Code Council for Community Service and having one of the most innovative approaches to neighborhood development in the Country. The Department is excited to continue to build a dynamic team to achieve even more success in 2019.
