Music Teacher
Jersey City Music School is hiring passionate, skilled music teachers to join our growing community. We are seeking instructors for one or more of the following areas:
- Instrument lessons (piano, guitar, drums, strings, woodwinds, and more)
- Voice & vocal coaching
- Music production
- Early childhood music education
Responsibilities:
- Teach individual or small-group lessons tailored to each student's goals and skill level (ages and stages vary)
- Develop engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans and track student progress
- Communicate with students and families about progress and goals
- Support student recitals and community events when scheduling allows
- Deliver lessons in person at our Jersey City studio and/or online via our remote-lesson tools
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in your instrument or vocal specialty
- Prior teaching experience preferred — emerging educators welcome
- Strong communication skills and a passion for working with students of all ages and skill levels
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within our school community
