2026 PIMCO Future Leaders Scholarship

The PIMCO Foundation Future Leaders Scholarship has officially launched and is now accepting applications through February 9, 2026! As we aim to build the next generation of leaders and expand access to careers within the financial services industry, we invite qualified candidates to apply for the opportunity to receive $20,000 towards their continued education.

2026 PIMCO Future Leaders Scholarship 

About The Scholarship

The PIMCO Foundation Future Leaders Scholarship aims to build the next generation of leaders and expand access to careers within the financial services industry. This scholarship is designed for students who demonstrate an interest in investment management and wish to pursue a career in finance through continued education. Inspired by the program’s ongoing success since its founding in 2021, we will award $20,000 scholarships to students.

Current undergraduate sophomores, current or future (Fall 2026) master’s degree students, and current doctoral students are invited to apply.

 

Award Amount

PIMCO will award $20,000 scholarships

 

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

Undergraduate Requirements

  • Be a current college undergraduate sophomore (graduating with a bachelor’s degree between December 2027 – June 2028) in good academic standing at an accredited United States (U.S.) institution as of the application deadline
  • Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited four-year college or university in the U.S. for the entire upcoming academic year (Proof of registration will be required.)
  • Demonstrate an interest in financial services by:
    • Pursuing a relevant degree, including but not limited to business management, finance, computer science, engineering, economics

 AND/OR

  • Pursuing a career in financial services or an adjacent industry (example- financial technology)
  • During the selection process, preference will be given to Pell grant-eligible undergraduate students and first-generation college students

Graduate (Advanced Degree) Requirements

  • Plan to apply, be awaiting acceptance, or be accepted to a master’s degree program at an accredited U.S. institution for a Fall 2026 start (graduating with a master’s degree between December 2027 – June 2028)

OR

  • Be a doctoral student in good academic standing at an accredited U.S. institution with an expected graduation date between December 2027 – June 2028
  • Plan to enroll in full-time graduate study at an accredited four-year college or university in the U.S. for the entire upcoming academic year (Proof of acceptance and registration will be required.)
  • Demonstrate an interest in financial services by:
    • Pursuing a relevant degree, including but not limited to business management, finance, computer science, engineering, economics

AND/OR

  • Pursuing a career in financial services or an adjacent industry (example- financial technology)
  • During the selection process, preference will be given to federal financial aid-eligible graduate students and first-generation college students

Notes:

  • A completed W-9 form and proof of acceptance and registration at an accredited U.S. institution for the upcoming academic year are required before award disbursement.
  • PIMCO employees and their immediate family members (spouses, children, and grandchildren) are ineligible.

 

Application & Program Information

Application/Interview Timeline:

  • Applications Open: December 1, 2025
  • Applications Close: February 9, 2026
  • Interviews will be conducted around late April/early May 2026.

Scholarships will be awarded to candidates who have the potential to excel as leaders and exhibit PIMCO’s CORE values of collaboration, openness, responsibility and excellence.

 

Virtual Summit:
As part of the scholarship, recipients will be invited to attend a celebratory virtual event in May 2026.
